Some children ski better with a parent beside them. And some parents would rather be out on the snow for the first morning than hear about it over dinner. A parent and child ski lesson in Méribel puts the two of you in one lesson, with one instructor, on the same run.

Parents and children who want to ski together and cannot quite yet. A child who is happier trying something new with a parent there. A parent who has not skied for years and does not want to hold their child back. If you are unsure whether your child is old enough, ask me before booking.
This is a private lesson booked for the two of you, so the lesson is yours rather than a class your child joins. We are on the same run at the same time, and you are not left watching from the side. If you want the whole family out, that is a family lesson.
We start with what your child can actually do, not the label. Ten minutes of easy skiing tells me more than any description does. Then I pick the ground around the pair of you, and part of the morning is showing you what to do and where to go once I am not there.
Plenty of parents are quietly more worried than the child is. It is common, it is workable, and it is often technique rather than nerve. If it is really you who needs the morning rather than your child, start instead with lessons for nervous skiers.
Lessons run from one hour up to four hours, morning or afternoon. A single hour is only bookable later in the season. For younger children I usually suggest a morning. Most start at the Rhodos bubble lift at La Chaudanne, and we can also meet in Mottaret or Méribel Village. See the lesson types and locations.
Tell me your dates, your child's age and what the two of you can ski at the moment, and I will suggest a sensible first session. Call or text +44 (0)7769 313526. You can also see the lesson times and prices.
