My family ski lessons in Méribel are booked as one lesson for your own group. It is your family, or your family and a few friends, and me, rather than a class you are slotted into. One price covers up to six of you, so a family of four pays for one lesson between them.
Families with a real spread of ability, from a first timer to a confident blue run skier. Parents who would rather ski with their children than send them off to a class. Friends who already ski together and want to improve. If nerves hold one of you back, try ski lessons for nervous and anxious adults.
We talk before we ski. What each of you has skied, what worries anybody, and what you want out of the week. Then I watch you ski for a few minutes. That shows me who is balanced and who is fighting the skis, and it decides everything else about the lesson.
The lesson costs the same whether I teach one of you or six. So a family of four, or two couples who ski together, pay for one lesson between them rather than one each.
Most lessons start and finish at the base of the Rhodos bubble lift at La Chaudanne, in Méribel Centre. Mottaret works too. From Méribel Village we can meet where the Golf chairlift ends, near the start of the Altiport chairlift. Every meeting point is listed on lesson types and locations.
Lessons run from one hour up to four hours, morning or afternoon. With younger children I often suggest a shorter session early in the holiday, so you stop while everyone is still enjoying it. A single hour is only bookable later in the season.
Tell me your dates, who is coming, their ages and roughly what each of them can ski, and I will suggest a lesson that fits. Call or text +44 (0)7769 313526. What each lesson costs is set out on lesson times and prices.
