In addition to exploring the area on skis or on a snowboard, the Méribel valley is home to a significant number of cross country ski (Nordic) routes (having been host to major Biathlon and Nordic events).
Alternatively you could snowshoe or use a pedestrian pass to meet up with your friends.
Maybe it's a day off due to bad weather... then why not explore the large sports complex in Méribel at La Chaudanne. Built for the '92 Olympics you will find an ice skating rink (some evenings host ice-hockey matches), a ten pin bowling alley (with other indoor games), a climbing wall, swimming pool complex and sauna/jacuzzi.
The Tourist Office is also located there.
Meeting with friends for either lunch or apres-ski? It is possible to take lifts all the way from Méribel to Courchevel 1850 on foot or maybe just at La Folie Douce. (Pedestrian Pass).
Alternatively, access the Rond-Point or Mottaret using the free buses.

Located towards the upper end of Méribel Centre ski resort, Le Rond Point is accessible both by pistes and the free Méribel (Altiport) buses.
Opening mid-morning for drinks and then lunches, the Rond-Point comes fully alive for apres-ski with live bands playing daily from 4pm to 7pm. Various special events are organised throughout the winter.

Situated half-way up the mountain heading towards Saulire (Courchevel) from Méribel, La Folie Douce can be found on skis or via a pedestrian pass (half way up the Saulire Express bubble).
Open for drinks and lunches, La Folie Douce is famous for its Afternoon Cabaret/Dance shows ... think 'Moulin Rouge meets glitzy ski resort'.
If the weather is good why not book a table for lunch and watch the show.

To be found near the main lift area in Méribel Centre (La Chaudanne), Jacks Bar opens throughout the day and into the night.
Whether it's an early morning coffee you are after (a main wake-up haunt for ski instructors ... 😁), a spot for lunch/dinner or a main apres-ski venue you are looking for, Jacks will take care of you. With its sizeable indoors and a large sunny terrace, it will always get livelier during the week with live bands playing from 5pm. On rare occasions, ski instructors perform as part of the bands (Thankfully NOT me 😅)
