I first taught in Méribel in 2001 for the main independent ski school of that era (Magic In Motion) and throughout that decade. Subsequently I taught for many seasons for SkiWithEase across numerous Port du Soleil resorts and latterly back in Méribel before establishing MakingTracks.
I wasn't fortunate enough to ski as a child - so learning as an adult means I remember the difficulties in my own journey making it easier to relate to many of yours.
Outside skiing my background is in Engineering (so I can get technical if needed ... one of my regular clients works at CERN ) and in Management Consulting (Projects and Business Change). These 'People and Change' skills help me develop individuals psychological approach to overcome barriers and help you realise your fuller potential.
At Making Tracks I'm keen to utilise the latest tech to aid your development.
Two-way Headset Intercomms
For several seasons I have now used two-way headset intercomms with clients. I install them onto your helmet at the start of each lesson and these enable much clearer communications related to instructions and feedback. 'Banter' always seems to take an 'uptick' too!
Carv
As a founder member of Carv I can provide coaching input through their use.
I have a spare set which can be quickly installed on a clients ski boots as a trial if desired.
Please discuss Carv options with me before booking as some preparation is required to maximise the feedback and benefits.
Across the many years of my ski teaching experience I have received numerous kind testimonials from many ski clients. A few of these have been summarised on the Home page with a more complete brochure of recent client feedback below
